Welcome to Bartholomew Technologies. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Bartholomew Technologies ("Bartholomew", "we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of bartholomew.info, the Bartholomew Trust Protocol (BTP), PromptSmith AI, our extensions, documentation, APIs, and online developer utilities.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our websites, extensions, or API services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately discontinue using our services.

2. Description of Services & Developer Tools

Bartholomew Technologies provides developer infrastructure, AI safety tooling, and prompt optimization software, including:

• PromptSmith AI: An interactive prompt engineering studio and editor extension that refines, structures, and benchmarks prompts across frontier AI models.
• Bartholomew Keystone & Guard: Zero-trust runtime protection extensions enforcing in-process AST invariants, budget spend caps, and cryptographic Ed25519 passkeys.
• Developer Documentation & Insights: Educational research, architectural papers, and benchmark analytics provided for informational and technical implementation purposes.

3. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use Bartholomew services to:

• Generate, propagate, or execute malicious software, automated exploit attacks, unauthorized network penetration, or denial-of-service attempts.
• Circumvent or tamper with cryptographic passkeys, access controls, or rate limits.
• Infringe upon the intellectual property rights, copyrights, or trade secrets of Bartholomew Technologies or any third party.
• Scrape, harvest, or disrupt the operation of bartholomew.info in violation of our robots.txt directives.

4. Passkey Licenses & Billing Terms

Certain premium tools, such as the PromptSmith AI Lifetime Pro Passkey ($0.99) and Enterprise BTP Passkeys, are offered for purchase via Stripe. All fees are clearly stated at checkout. Passkeys are delivered electronically upon confirmation of payment. Due to the immediate delivery of digital cryptographic keys, all passkey sales are final, except as required by applicable consumer protection laws. If you encounter any technical difficulty activating your passkey, our support team will replace or resolve your key promptly.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

The Bartholomew Trust Protocol specifications, logo marks, original software source code, documentation, and technical articles published on bartholomew.info are the proprietary property of Bartholomew Technologies or are licensed under the Apache 2.0 license as specified in respective open source repositories.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services, extensions, and website utilities are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. While we strive for absolute accuracy and zero-defect execution, Bartholomew does not warrant that AI model outputs or prompt rewrites will guarantee specific generative results from third-party model providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, etc.).

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bartholomew Technologies and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from your use of or inability to use our tools or services.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

9. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted to this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our website or services after such updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
